Some pictures of the first Pi computers to run UT2004:

The very first compile

The first compile of UT2004 on a Pi was done on my Raspberry Pi 4B. It had served as a home PiKVM, and together with an old external hard drive liberated from a previous generation Pi it was enough to get the job done.

Player "Sel1g (UK)" has the dubious honour of being the first player ever fragged in UT2004 by a player using a Raspberry Pi. "Zeus (EE)" was the second!

This Pi 4B became the first Pi game server, hosting the first all-Pi game.

Subsequent work towards the released version of UT2004 for the Pi was done on my shiny new 8GB Raspberry Pi 5 using remote ssh debugging from Ubuntu 24.04.

Compile time on the Pi 5 was 3x faster. Framerates are considerably higher
